Lawrence Top – Zero Waste Tunic and Cropped Top Digital Sewing Pattern

The Lawrence Top is a zero-waste sewing pattern that can be made in two different views. View A is a tunic-length top with inseam pockets and ¾ length sleeves. View B is a cropped shirt with patch pockets, short sleeves, and a low/high split hem. Choose between pleats or gathers at the yoke and sleeves. Both tops are designed to have an oversized fit and will work best with a light to mid-weight fabric with plenty of drape.

  • Sizing:

    The pattern comes in 2 size ranges.

    Size 1 is intended to fit a bust of 32″/81 cm – 44″/112 cm and

    Size 2 is intended to fit a bust of 46″/117 cm – 56″/142 cm.

    Please see Size and Fit chart for finished garment measurements. If the size range does not include you, please reach out to emily@goldfinch.design to see if the pattern can be expanded based on your measurements.

    Fabric Requirements:

    Light to mid-weight fabric with plenty of drape; linen, cotton lawn, silk crepe, rayon challis, etc.  

    Size 1 – View A:    Fabric width – 57″/145 cm Fabric length – 54″/137 cm

    Size 2 – View A:    Fabric width – 57″/145 cm Fabric length – 72″/183 cm

    Size 1 – View B:    Fabric width – 44″/112 cm Fabric length – 54″/137 cm

    Size 2 – View B:    Fabric width – 44″/112 cm Fabric length – 72″/183 cm

    Note:  Pattern pieces are oriented in a cross-grain fashion. Please take this into account when purchasing fabric. i.e. drape and patterning

    • ½” | 13mm – ⅝” | 16mm Buttons (6) for View A , (4) for View B

    • Lightweight interfacing (optional)

    • Tailors chalk, marking pen or a way to transfer dimensions and markings to the fabric

    • Long ruler and/or large right angle to help transfer the pattern to the fabric

    • Matching thread, pins, measuring tape, scissors, and sewing machine.

  • After purchase, you will receive an email with your downloadable files. These files need to be opened and downloaded/saved on a desktop or laptop computer.
